Noriko Anderson, MD, MPH, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, the youngest of three girls. She did her medical school training at UCSF, followed by an internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland. She traveled to Southern California for residency at UC Irvine, then returned to UCSF for neuromuscular fellowship. She joined the UCSF faculty as an assistant clinical professor of neurology where she works in general neurology with an additional focus in neuromuscular medicine. Prior to medicine, Noriko obtained a Master of Public Health in community health sciences. As a clinician educator, she enjoys caring for patients of diverse backgrounds, including at UCSF Parnassus, UCSF San Mateo, and San Francisco General Hospital. She is interested in medical education and efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
