Prashanth Ramachandran, MBBS, is based in the Division of Neuroimmunology and Glial Biology. He completed his medical degree and residency in Melbourne, Australia before completing fellowship at UCSF in neuroimmunology and neuroinfectious diseases. His work is focused on the belief that everyone should have access to high level neurological care, both locally and globally. Over the years Dr. Ramachandran has worked in several underserved regions and believes strongly in medical education for junior doctors as an important adjunct to clinical work. His research is focused on improving diagnostics for patients with neuroinflammatory disorders and translating these advanced technologies into resource limited settings.
