Riley Bove, MD With a background in anthropology, Dr. Bove’s approach to brain health is rooted in understanding its social, cultural, economic, and ecological determinants. Within her specialty field, multiple sclerosis, she studies how gender, sex, race, and social factors influence patient experiences, access to care, and health outcomes, and how to close the gap on unmet needs. As co-director of UCSF’s Global Teleneurology Service, she is dedicated to providing neurological expertise through telemedicine to regions with limited neurological expertise or resources.
